Waiting On Warm Weather is a 2026 student film about the life of a girl who has recently been diagnosed with a dissability. The story follows how her and her family are adapting to her new condition and the challenges that she faces in her social life due to her dissability. The main writer and director, Ella Johns, created this project from her own experiences and part of the script is constructed using verbatim dialogue from other real people's experienes.
My role on this production was as the Director of Photography and camera operator during prduction. I worked very closely with the director in order to design the shotlist for the film and then execute that vision when filming the footage. Being in charge of the cinematography of the project, my creative influence was very important to be able to tell this significant story in a way which was engaging to the audience in order to show and respect these experiences accurately.

Brainrot is a 2026 student horror project where a group of teens stumble across an abandonned house, throw a party, and accidentally drink cursed beer which causes them to get "brainrotted". My role in this project was as one of the lead actors, playing the role of "Overdose" - a bold and punkish teen who is responsible the chaotic and horrific events of the story. Starting out as a rude, but morally ambiguous and playful character, the beer rots his mind and turns him into a bloodthirsty monster. Working on the project, the director gave me a lot of creative room to develop most of my character's quirks on my own. This collaberation between myself and the director, Logan O'Reilly, was key to the development of my character. The filming process, with special effects and uncomfortable conditions, had many challenges outisde of my previous experiences and pushed me into parts of acting that I had never faced before.

This is a project that I have had integral influence over with concept development, co-scriptwriting, and even an acting role. The initial concept came together by reimagining the tale of Cinderella but by taking inspiration from other media by merging this classic story with the setting of a 1950's psych-ward. Reframing Ella's princess delusions of a Fairy Godmother and talking mice onto the unfortunate visions of a mentally ill patient, the story switches between her fasle realities and her waking life. I wrote the dialogue for two of the scenes of the script at the middle of the story during the climax. As well as this, I also play one of the characters in the story, the patient Kit Chalmers, the man Ella imagines as her charming Prince. Like all of the roles in this story, this character's main challenge was having to play two different characters, with playing the mental patient whiel showing reality, but also portraying the Prince as Ella percieves him.

Thrill to Kill is an interpretive short-film set in the subconscious mind of an unlikely killer. Exploring themes of guilt and regret, a girl is cnfronted by a mysterious figure in a mysterious location. The character I play is this illusive figure, a mystery man who is never explicitly explained by the plot, but is essential to bringing it forwards. The filming process was only over two days, but it holds a special plac ein my heart for being how I spent the majority of the 18th birthday (which shows how dedicated I am to the art of filmcraft if you ask me). Being such a small project with little preparation, there was a lot of pressure to get fiilming done quickly and efficently, and so the environment on set was very fast paced and on the roll. While some of the directors filming methods may have been unconventional and outside of the box, despite all of the setbacks that we faced, the morale on set was high and we managed to get everything done in the end. Working on a set that was not my own was a very different experience to most of my other projects, but being an external actor did mean that playing my role well was my only concern and that I had more focus on the craft of acting.

Pink Cupcake is a short 5 minute thriller that I wrote and filmed in late 2025. Needing to fit the genre of a thriller, my writing team, consisting of me and two other people, created the story of Pink Cupcake. This short story follows a young woman who works at a bakery but encounters a strange man after hours. My main contributions to the script are with this strange figure we called Creepy Karl, which was fitting as I would also be the one to portray this character when we got to the filming process. When developing this character we wanted to create someone who was awkward and creepy, but also somewhat humourous and charming in a pityful kind of way. The first impressions of this character are meant to be offputting but in a way that you can't quite put your finger on, with the rest of him having a sort of untrustworthy innocence. Hopefully I was able to convey this with the characters dialogue, and then also my execution of these lines when I executed the role. While Creepy Karl is an uncomfortable character to play, there is also a charm to him that I can't deny.
